What I have done

In the transformative year of 2023, I embarked on a journey to learn coding and pursue a career in the IT industry. Starting in June, my journey began with watching Java coding videos and meticulously recording my progress on Github. As months passed, I applied my newfound knowledge to successfully reconstruct my website, a testament to my evolving skills. To enhance my algorithmic proficiency, I dedicated time to solving problems on Leetcode.

November brought a cultural exploration as I visited cities in Northeast China, focusing on the historical relics of the Russo-Japanese War and the architectural heritage of Manchuria. In preparation for this cultural journey, I dedicated time to improving my Japanese language skills by watching relative videos.

As the saying goes, “Read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.” In 2023, I covered 2167km on railways and 10321km on planes, recognizing the vastness of knowledge yet to be explored. This journey not only broadened my horizons but also revealed the need to continually squeeze time to advance along my chosen path. The year was a realization that there is always more to learn, pushing me to become more skilled and proficient.

New Year’s Words

I have many to share but my limited vocabulary get in my way. I hope I can write more article in this website, in different language.

If you observe the season changing of Singapore, you will be depressed because everyday is similar hot weather. It makes me feel like stuck in the loop of summer, I want to change to another city to feel the difference of months. Everyday I can see green trees, but I also want to touch tree buddings in spring, hear sound of stepping on fallen leaves in autumn, and feel the treading on snow.

What is the meaning of a new year? It marks the earth come to the same position as the day of last year, it’s the beginning of a new calendar. In the coming year, my focus is on doing something different - starting a new chapter by working in an IT company and striving for personal excellence. Despite the challenges and the loop of familiarity, I am determined to break free, embracing the opportunity for growth and change. The new year is not just a continuation but a chance to embark on new endeavors, learn, and evolve.
